Ayurveda, also called the “sister science” to yoga, literally means the science of life (in Sanskrit, ayus = life, veda = knowledge, science).  It is India’s 5,000 year old traditional system of medicine, one of the three longest surviving comprehensive herbal medicinal systems on the planet.

According to Ayurveda, one’s diet is the first and most basic foundation of good health and can be effectively used to treat disease and promote healing.  Improper diet is one of the main underlying problems that can spur disease.  By modifying the diet to consist of whole, unprocessed, easily digestible foods consumed in beneficial combinations, this underlying problem can be eradicated and health can be restored and maintained.

Using organically grown whole foods from the earth, along with balanced spices and herbs, simple and healthy meals can be created to promote health and longevity.  Add in some love, healing energy, and good intentions, and you’ve got yourself a Whole Bowl, full of pure delicious goodness for your body, mind and soul.
